How long does a power station take to charge from a wall socket?

The short answer: about an hour to two hours for the models below on their makers' stated figures, and faster still in a fast-charging mode. EcoFlow states 60 minutes for the 245 Wh RIVER 3 (EcoFlow UK), and Anker states 58 minutes for the 1,056 Wh C1000 at 1,300 W input (Anker SOLIX UK). Slower, quieter modes take longer.

What the makers state
Charging from a mains socket, as stated (alphabetical, from makers' UK pages and manuals):
| Model | Capacity | Stated AC input | Stated charging time | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Anker SOLIX C1000 | 1,056 Wh | 1,000 W max; 1,300 W with UltraFast (Anker UK user guide) | 80% in 43 minutes, 100% in 58 minutes at 1,300 W (Anker SOLIX UK) | 21 Oct 2026 |
| BLUETTI AC180 | 1,152 Wh | Up to 1,440 W (Turbo); about 1,000 W standard; about 260 W silent (BLUETTI UK) | Turbo: 0–80% in 45 minutes. Standard: 1.7–2.2 hours. Silent: 4.9–5.4 hours | 21 Oct 2026 |
| EcoFlow RIVER 3 | 245 Wh | 305 W (EcoFlow UK) | 0–100% in 60 minutes | 21 Oct 2026 |
| Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 | 1,070 Wh | Not stated on the UK page or in the manual text we could read | 1.7 hours; Emergency Super Charging "as fast as 1 hour" (Jackery UK) | 21 Oct 2026 |

Fast-charging modes
Several makers offer a faster mode, usually switched on in their app:
- Anker: UltraFast raises the AC input to 1,300 W and can be turned on or off in the Anker app. Anker says "Recharging at a normal speed can best protect the battery" (Anker UK user guide).
- Jackery: emergency charging mode is switched on in the Jackery app. Jackery says it's best to charge at normal speed and that emergency mode isn't recommended for regular, long-term use (Jackery manual).
- BLUETTI: the AC180 page lists Turbo, standard and silent modes, from about 260 W to 1,440 W (BLUETTI UK).
In practice: use the fast mode when you need it, such as before a forecast storm, and the normal mode the rest of the time, as Anker and Jackery advise.
Why it might take longer
- The last part is slower. The makers' own figures show it: Anker states 80% in 43 minutes but 100% in 58 minutes, so the last 20% takes about 15 minutes, against 43 for the first 80% (our arithmetic).
- Temperature and charge level. BLUETTI says its battery management system adjusts the charging power based on battery temperature and state of charge, and gives a charging range of 0 °C to 40 °C for the Elite 100 V2 (BLUETTI manual). A power station charged in a cold garage or van may charge more slowly.
- Using it while it charges. Anything plugged in uses some of the input. See your manual for how pass-through charging works on your model.
- A quieter mode. BLUETTI's silent mode takes 4.9–5.4 hours, against 1.7–2.2 hours in standard mode.
How much does a charge add?
To estimate a time yourself, divide the capacity by the input watts: for example the C1000's 1,056 Wh ÷ its normal 1,000 W input is about an hour, before losses and the slower final part (our arithmetic). The makers' stated times above already include these effects.

FAQs
How long does it take to charge a power station from the mains?
On the makers' stated figures, about an hour for the RIVER 3 and the C1000 (in UltraFast), 1.7 hours for the Explorer 1000 v2, and 1.7–2.2 hours for the AC180 in standard mode.
Is fast charging bad for the battery?
Anker and Jackery both say normal-speed charging is best for the battery, and Jackery says its emergency mode isn't recommended for regular, long-term use. Use fast charging when you need it.
Why does my power station charge slowly at the end?
The makers' figures show the last part of a charge is slower. Anker states 80% in 43 minutes and 100% in 58 minutes. Battery temperature also affects charging speed.
